Food Parcels Needed

The impact of food parcels in Uganda...

Nelson writes…Reflecting on the aftermath of the 2020 lockdown, a number of churches actually doubled in size because so many people came to know Jesus Christ when food and the gospel was taken house to house, even to the enemies of the cross.

In Uganda, COVID-19 cases have risen sharply and President Museveni ordered a total lockdown, which includes churches, schools, prisons, restaurants, and public transportation. Hospitals are full, oxygen is not available, and many are now suffering because of hunger. Proceeds continue to be sent and food parcels distributed in many villages, and the requests continue almost daily. A $25 food parcel includes maize flour, rice, beans, salt and sugar, and feeds a family for approximately three weeks.

Jesus Christ, through people like you, brought extreme happiness to elderly widows and widowers in Uganda as they received food parcels on Easter weekend. One of the older men shed tears of joy when food was handed to him. This is bringing so much-needed blessing to our needy older people. ~ Pastor Daniel, Uganda
